Comedian Jon Holmes is leading the charge against the increasing role of faith groups in public life.
Faith groups are given special exemption to discriminate in their employment practices, employing only Catholics, or only Muslims - even when they are receiving taxpayers' money. Faith schools, meanwhile, can discriminate in their admissions and have freedom to teach from ...a religious perspective. Charities whose religious beliefs oppose abortion, homosexuality or extramarital sex might struggle to provide unbiased advice to the people they are supposed to help.

To watch and take part (did we mention that?) in Jon’s Flash Talk please assemble at 1.20pm latest – this event will happen on time and last no longer than 30minutes.
We need you to all be in Peter’s Hill at that time. Peter’s Hill is the pedestrianised street leading up from Millennium Bridge towards St Paul’s. We need you to be in the area between... City of London School (on left if you are walking off Millennium Bridge to St Paul’s) and the Salvation Army building (on your right if walking same way).
There is likely to be building works taking place near the main road; if so, you should aim for the area just next to this cordoned off area on the Millennium Bridge side.
Now, from 1.20pm just mingle like tourists or locals who mingle… but then at 1.30pm sharp we need you to do your bit…
When your watch hits that time or when those whose watches are quick have already started, we need you to drop to your knees, put your hands together and look like you are praying.
Make sure you are facing in the direction of the Salvation Army building. From this moment you will be Jon’s congregation.
Jon will himself arrive in the square with a few special guests.
When Jon reaches his podium, make sure you are still facing the Salvation Army building, still on your knees. If Jon asks you to stand, please do so. Jon will then give his talk…
