The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has called for the labelling of meat from animals slaughtered without pre-stunning in response to the increase of ritually slaughtered meat 'unknowingly' entering the general market.

The National Secular Society has written to members of The European Parliament EnvironemntI Committee urging them to support an amendment to food labelling legislation that would ensure meat from slaughter without stunning is accurately labelled.
