You can use this page to start a standing order, make a donation, renew your membership or to join the National Secular Society.
- For more information about the importance of your support please read our message from Claire Rayner.
- Members will receive a bulletin three times a year and an annual report.
- Renewals are due in January but those applying in September or later will not have to renew the following January but a year later.
- Membership requests are subject to formal ratification by Council.
- N.B. You can only apply to join yourself or jointly with your partner: we cannot accept applications on behalf of another person as they must agree with our objects and General Principles.
- Privacy policy: your particulars will not be passed on to any third party and will only be used for resolving queries.
- You must agree to our General Principles when you join.
- UK membership is available only to those who supply a UK mailing address.

Starting a standing order will give the NSS a regular income and enable us to considerably increase our scale of activities.
If you sign up for £5 a month or more, that will also include your annual subscription.

Life Membership
Life membership is available only to existing UK members of at least one year's standing. For under 65s it is £600, for over 65s it is £300. Contact us for more details.

The NSS has written to the Secretary of State for Justice, Jack Straw, asking him for answers to a number of questions arising from the failed prosecution of Channel 4 over its Dispatches programme Undercover Mosque.
The National Secular Society has called for a full public inquiry into the role of the West Midlands Police and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) relative to the Channel 4 Dispatches documentary Undercover Mosque broadcast on 15 January 2007 that exposed the views of extremist Islamic clerics.
