Secular healthcare

Secular healthcare

Patient care, not religious concerns, should always come first.

The secular nature of our health services allows them to serve people of all religions and beliefs equally. Secularism should therefore be a professional standard in our health service.

We campaign to protect patients from the harm caused by the imposition of other people's religious values. We support patient autonomy and advocate for equal access to healthcare for all patients and staff irrespective of their religion or belief. And we actively engage with healthcare professionals to challenge the disproportionate influence of powerful religious institutions in healthcare issues.
