Secularism is at its heart a political question: how do we balance freedom of and from religion, with other rights? But this is a question that arises in all of the humanities.
It is one of today's most pertinent question in in citizenship and political studies. It is a question people of all faiths and none have considered. It is a question that can be explored through debate or Philosophy for Children (P4C). Many historical changes have been driven by or led to different views on this question. It is a question that artists, poets and authors have explored.
