Secularist of the Year, Saturday 28 March 2015, 12:30 to 16:00 - central London

{{{salutation}}}, we'd like to invite you to our Secularist of the Year event as our guest. The lunchtime event will take place in central London on Saturday 28 March 2015 from 12:30 to 16:00.

The Irwin Prize for Secularist of the Year award is presented annually in recognition of an individual or an organisation considered to have made an outstanding contribution to the secular movement. The award is kindly sponsored by NSS honorary associate Dr Michael Irwin.

A three course lunch with drinks will be followed by the announcement of the winner and the presentation. Winners in recent years have included Turkish MP and human rights campaigner Safak Pavey, Human Rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, Dutch MEP Sophie in 't Veld, and Southall Black Sisters - for their support of black and Asian women's human rights. In 2013 the prize fund donated to girls' education in honour of Malala Yousafzai.
