NSS Speaks OutTerry Sanderson was quoted in an article in the Guardian about whether it was a good idea to accommodate religion in the workplace. Terry also took part in an hour long debate about religious symbols in schools on the Asian network on Monday. Keith Porteous Wood spoke on the same topic on BBC Three Counties. Terry Sanderson was on the Simon Mayo programme on Radio 5 Live, talking about a new report from Christian MPs saying that the nation’s problems were caused by an abandonment of religious faith (see story above). The NSS was quoted in The Daily Telegraph in connection with the proposal to permit pupils to exempt themselves from religious education and collective worship. Scottish correspondent Alistair McBay had this letter in the Herald on Thursday and another about Rowan Williams in the Scotsman (not on line). Robert Stovold — who wrote our pamphlet Did Christians Steal Christmas? — was on BBC Radio Northern Ireland last week talking about the malign, or otherwise, effects that the book of Genesis has had upon society. |
