The National Secular Society has donated its Secularist of the Year prize fund to a global charity campaigning to ensure girls everywhere have equal access to education.

This year's Irwin Prize for Secularist of the Year will be presented by the tireless campaigner for equality and Human Rights, Michael Cashman MEP.

The shortlist has been announced for this year's Irwin Prize for Secularist of the Year. The prize will be presented by Michael Cashman MEP, CBE on Saturday 23 March at a lunchtime event in central London.
