The multi-award winning playwright and novelist Michael Frayn says he is "proud to have his name included" among the NSS's list of honorary associates.

You can read about his extraordinary career here and if you feel like a guaranteed laugh you could do worse than book tickets for Noises Off — described as "probably the most side-splitting play ever written" — which is on at the Old Vic at the moment.

Terry Sanderson, President of theNational Secular Society, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Michael Frayn to our distinguished list of supporters. His plays have ranged not only from the hilarious but also to the philosophical and deeply questioning. It is good that he shares our vision of a secular society."
