New Manifesto Seeks To Strengthen And Encourage Liberal Democracy

A group of bloggers has formed a new alliance around a declaration they have called The Euston Manifesto. It seeks to create a new consensus among those who value human rights, democratic freedoms, free speech and liberal values. See also this in order to help campaign against the Government’s anti-democratic and profoundly dangerous Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill. Although the Government has promised that it will amend the Bill (which has become known as the ‘Dictatorship Bill’) to water down some of the powers it contains, critics are not convinced that it has gone far enough.
