Becoming a member of the National Secular Society is a declaration of your belief in fairness, freedom and human rights. Stand up and be counted: add your voice to the call for a secular society.
The NSS is a democratic and independent organisation which receives no funding from government or outside bodies. Our campaigning is wholly supported by our members, people like you who share our belief in the urgent need to disconnect religion and politics.
Your support of the National Secular Society enables our effective and influential campaigners to work in the UK and in Europe, lobbying decision-makers to put an end to religious privilege in public life and raising awareness of secular concerns.
Without your generosity we wouldn’t be there when it matters, providing a counterbalance to the arguments of the powerful religious lobby, in the media and in Parliament.
As a member of the National Secular Society, you will have the right to vote at our AGM, and will receive our quarterly Bulletin magazine and Annual Report by post.

A monthly standing order is the most effective way to donate to the NSS – it allows us to predict how much money we will have available, and also cuts down on administration costs, enabling us to increase the scale of our activities.
