Sick Building Syndrome Sparks Exorcist To Intervene At School
An exorcist has carried out a ritual on a school in Sandwell near Birmingham, where seven members of staff have been struck down by a mystery illness, it was revealed this week.
The exorcist came forward after being alerted to sickness problems affecting staff at The Meadows Special School in Oldbury. Sandwell Council education spokesman Councillor Ian Jones said that the exorcist had tried to clear the school of “any malevolent presence”. He said: “We are keeping an open mind on the situation and any theory put forward will be carefully considered. What has happened at The Meadows is baffling and worrying. We have even had an exorcist coming forward and offering to help. The exorcist did not go into the school itself but I understand he did some work from a distance,” he added.
Keith Porteous Wood, Executive Director of the National Secular Society said: “I am relieved that the exorcist was not invited into the school, which caters for children with learning disabilities. Many of these religious extremists believe that mental illness and mental handicaps are the fault of evil spirits. They should be kept well away from a school such as this. It is quite obvious that the school is suffering from sick building syndrome, and the environmental health department should be able to pinpoint its source eventually.”
