Bye Bye Blasphemy Party - June 2008
After a 140 year campaign the National Secular Society and a host of distinguished supporters were finally able to celebrate the abolition of the British blasphemy laws. The highlight of the party was a reading by Sir Ian McKellen of the poem that was the subject of the last successful prosecution for blasphemy in Britain.
