Secularist of the Year 2009

One of the big dates in the secularist calendar, Secularist of the Year is hosted by the National Secular Society and sponsored by Dr Michael Irwin.

This years's Irwin Award for Secularist of the Year was jointly awarded to Dr Evan Harris MP and Lord Avebury for their work towards the abolition of the blasphemy laws.

The award was presented in London on 7th February 2009.
